Hi. The letters in the title stand for "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" and it's a community service organization for photographers and a place for grieving parents to come together. The photographers give their services pro bono to families who have or will soon lose a new baby. As a photographer, I go to the hospital and take pictures of the baby, then send the family copies of the pictures so that they have a way to remember their precious child/ren. It has been very fulfilling and the families are incredibly grateful. We charge nothing for our time, skill or copy of the images. If you're a photographer who wants to give back in some way, consider doing this. It's completely voluntary and you do it as you can. You're not required to take any minimum number of sessions. It's an awesome way to give back to your community and I don't think you will be sorry. For more information, you can contact me or you may go to the website at www.nilmdts.org.
If you would like to see some of my pictures from these sessions, go to www.digital.smugmug.com and click on the "Infant Remembrance Photography" gallery.
